Joel Weber, editor of Bloomberg Businessweek, one of the leading brands in business journalism, will be the featured speaker at the School of Journalism’s My Life As Speaker Series on Monday, October 21, at 7:30 pm in the Student Activities Center Gelber Auditorium. Stony Brook University Alum Mike Dukmejian will join Weber for a conversation about Weber’s vision for the industry, his career and the issues facing business journalism. The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Weber was named editor of Businessweek in January 2018. He joined Bloomberg in 2012 as a senior editor at Bloomberg Markets magazine, covering banking, finance, economics and technology. Before Bloomberg, Weber worked at ESPN The Magazine, Men’s Health, Best Life, and Men’s Journal. He has helped win two National Magazine Awards, has been a finalist for another, and co-authored The Men’s Health Big Book of Food & Nutrition. Dukmejian is an alum of Bloomberg LP Media and serves as Chief Revenue Officer of Loeb Enterprises.
