Stony Brook students now have 24-hour access to the Melville Library Central Reading Room during the spring and fall semesters. The area is open from noon on Sunday through midnight on Thursday. Friday hours remain 8:30 am to 8 pm and Saturday hours are 10 am to 10 pm.
“Our students have very different schedules and study needs, and we want to provide them with innovative resources and more support to ensure that they excel,” said Dean of Libraries Constantia Constantinou. “We are excited to offer the new 24-hour shift, and we hope this extended schedule will increase student’s productivity as it maximizes availability of our space for individual study and collaborative work.”
