The sixth annual Meeting of the Minds Symposium will be held on Friday, October 30, from 8 am to 4:15 pm at the Charles B. Wang Center. This year’s topic is Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Joseph D. Buxbaum, PhD, from Mount Sinai Medical Center, an international leader in the field of autism, will be the keynote speaker. Autism expert James C. McPartland, PhD, from Yale School of Medicine, will also speak. Talks will be given by the following Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine faculty: Ellen Li, MD, PhD; Howard Sirotkin, PhD; Kenneth Gadow, PhD; Matthew Lerner, PhD; and Patricia Whitaker-Azmitia, PhD.
The event is free, but registration is required by October 21. Breakfast and lunch will be served, and there will be a poster session during the lunch hour. Physicians, nurses, researchers, students, postdoctoral fellows and other members of the Stony Brook family with an interest in autism spectrum disorders are welcome.
