March 1: Global Forum on Intercultural Communication

Global ForumThe Office of Global Affairs and the Center for Multilingual and Intercultural Communication invite you to a Global Forum, Intercultural Communication: Understanding Our Global Campus, on Wednesday, March 1, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm at the Charles B. Wang Center Theater.

The Global Forum offers a venue for Stony Brook faculty, staff and students to debate and comment on contemporary global issues.

This forum will feature keynote remarks from Agnes He, Professor and Chair of Asian and Asian American Studies and Director of the Center for Multilingual and Intercultural Communication. Jun Liu, Vice Provost for Global Affairs, will moderate a cross-disciplinary panel including Georges Fouron, Professor, Department of Africana Studies; Michael Frohman, Distinguished Professor and Chair, Department of Pharmacological Sciences; Nancy Goroff, Professor, Department of Chemistry; and Wei Zhu, Professor and Deputy Chair, Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics.

The panel will discuss the importance and implications of intercultural communication and how we can enhance and celebrate our multicultural and diverse campus.
