Stony Brook University students are invited to learn more about the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences‘ Semester by the Sea program at an information session Wednesday, March 9, at 7 p.m. at the Student Activities Center, room 304.
Students will learn how they can take hands-on classes in marine science and maritime studies at the Stony Brook Southampton campus, and see how easy it is to fit the SoMAS Semester by the Sea into their four-year plan.
Students will also meet and chat with the Semester by the Sea program director, as well as other students who have already participated in the Semester by the Sea. The session is hosted by the Marine Science Club.
Semester by the Sea is designed for undergraduate students, or recent graduates, to spend a semester immersed in marine studies while in residence at the Stony Brook Southampton campus. There are programs in the fall and the spring.
