Hispanic Heritage Month Continues Through October

hispanic heritage month 2011 bannerBring your friends to the 2011 Hispanic Heritage Month Opening Ceremony on September 14 at 12:45 pm in the Student Activities Center Auditorium. The keynote speaker will be Bergre Escorbores, Principal of Brentwood South Middle School and a Stony Brook and Educational Opportunity Program alumnus. Tonjanita Johnson, Chief Deputy to Stony Brook University President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., M.D., will read the Proclamation officially announcing the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month on behalf of President Stanley. Enjoy performances and free food.

Hispanic Heritage Month events continue throughout October, closing with an awards ceremony on November 2. For more information, visit www.stonybrook.edu/sb/hhm.
