The Institute for Global Studies and the Office of Global Affairs invite you to kick off the Global Forum series with the Inaugural Forum: Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump? The World is Watching on Wednesday, October 12, from 1 pm to 2:30 pm in the Charles B. Wang Center Theater. The Global Forum offers a venue for Stony Brook faculty, staff and students to debate and comment on contemporary global issues.
The Forum will open with an introduction of the Global Forum series by Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Dean of International Academic Programs and Services, Jun Liu, followed by remarks from Political Science Professor Helmut Norpoth, whose model predicted a Donald Trump victory as early as February. A panel including Norpoth and five distinguished Stony Brook faculty will be moderated by Wolf Schafer, Director of the Institute of Global Studies. The panel will debate the two candidates and encourage discussion and feedback from the audience.
Professor Norpoth talks about his prediction with Lou Dobbs on Fox Business Network.
