Pick your favorite spot on campus, explain why you chose it, and you could win a top prize of $1000. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to make a short video about your favorite spot on campus. Videos can be as short as 30 seconds or as long as one minute. You can use a camcorder, a webcam, or even a video-recording phone. If you don’t have access to a recording device, you can borrow a Flip Video Camcorder (subject to availability).
The contest runs through November 15 and is sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment and Retention Management. Submissions will be judged by a panel of faculty, staff, and students who will be looking for authenticity and creativity. First prize is $1000, second prize is $500, and third prize is $250. Winning entries will be featured on the Stony Brook YouTube site, screened at University events, and showcased on the University Web site.
