Christiane Amanpour to Speak on Campus February 5

The inaugural Marie Colvin Distinguished Lecture, featuring guest speaker Christiane Amanpour, will be held on Tuesday, February 5, at 8 pm in the Student Activities Center Auditorium. Christiane Amanpour is chief international correspondent for CNN, host of CNN’s international interview program Amanpour and global affairs anchor for ABC News.

For tickets, please RSVP to journalism@stonybrook.edu by February 1. Admission is free, check in is required.

In June 2012, The Stony Brook University School of Journalism launched a fundraising campaign to establish a Center for International Reporting in memory of Marie Colvin, the acclaimed war correspondent and Long Island native who was killed in February 2012 while reporting in Syria.
