The Confucius Institute at Stony Brook celebrated the traditional Chinese Spring Festival at the Charles B. Wang Center on January 12. Participants included students and scholars originally from China along with students from the United States and other countries, University leaders, and faculty and officials from International Academic Programs.

Following a Chinese New Year family reunion dinner, students presented many traditional and modern performances including folk dances, Chinese comic dialogue, lion dances, and more.

On February 12 students attended another Chinese New Year celebration at Brandeis University, which attracted hundreds of students and faculty.
