The Stony Brook University Department of Athletics and its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee recently hosted a sports clinic for more than four dozen boys and girls in celebration of the National Girls and Women in Sports Youth Day. The event honors the accomplishments of female athletes and highlights the benefits of staying active. The children, ages 6 to 13, participated in a variety of fun-filled activities led by Stony Brook student athletes from the football, soccer and volleyball teams, including agility races and basketball instruction.
