Cancer survivors and their families are invited to the Stony Brook Cancer Center on Saturday, June 4, to celebrate at the 13th Annual National Cancer Survivors Day, which honors those who are living with and beyond cancer, regardless of where they received treatment.

Inspirational speaker Dr. Jennifer Arnold, a three-year cancer survivor who stars in TLC’s docudrama, The Little Couple, will discuss “Surviving with Grace.” Dr. Arnold has a rare type of dwarfism called Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Type Strudwick. She is proud that the show has become a powerful method to break down barriers and educate people around the country about people with disabilities. Dr. Arnold shares her story of perseverance, resilience and strength to bring hope to others facing obstacles and difficulties.
Check-in begins at 11 am, followed by Dr. Arnold’s presentation, outdoor activities, musical entertainment, light refreshments and ending with the Parade of Survivors at 2 pm.
