Bridging the Gaps Conference, November 2

Bridging the gaps

The Interagency Coordinated Council of Long Island and the Long Island Regional Technical Assistance Team will present a conference, “Bridging the Gaps: Connecting Medical, Educational, and Familial Systems,” for professionals and families that work with individuals with disabilities. The conference will be held on Thursday, November 2, from 9 am to 2 pm in the Charles B. Wang Center Theater. Registration begins at 8:30 am and lunch will be served.

The conference will provide tools and strategies to improve outcomes for children and young adults with special needs, from those with a physical challenge to those with mental health concerns and/or issues. Improving communication between medical professionals, educators, families and community providers can be the key.

For more information or to register, contact Post-CCI@liu.edu or call the Long Island Early Childhood Direction Center at (516) 413-8229 or the Long Island Parent Center at (516) 589-4562.
