The Provost-Student Advisory Group presents Michael “Blue” Williams at the Staller Center on Wednesday, December 4, at 1 pm to discuss “Guns 4 Greatness and the Music Industry.”

Blue Williams is the head of Family Tree Entertainment, which has a roster that includes Big Boi, Busta Rhymes and Eric Benet. He has managed the successful careers of OutKast and Cee-Lo Green. His “Guns 4 Greatness” program combines a gun buy-back program with a mentorship initiative to save a generation of young men from a life of violence.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information contact Provost-Student Task Force student chair Anna Lubitz at anna.c.lubitz@stonybrook.edu.

“90% of the crimes, especially in
New York City, are done by minorities
between 16 and 37 years old.

I’m part of the hip-hop community.”
