Stony Brook Children’s Hospital Gets Special Holiday Visitors

Islander with pediatric patient

Stony Brook Children’s Hospital received several special visits this holiday season. Many of the pediatric patients won’t be able to go home for Christmas this year, so the hospital’s Child Life staff arranged memorable activities and events to help kids feel the holiday spirit.

The Child Life December events included visits from New York Islander players Anthony Beauvillier and Tom Kuhnhackl, the Sixth Precinct Cops Who Care and Santa, and The Long Island Ducks outfielder and hitting coach Lew Ford along with mascot QuackerJack.

Take a look at the photos below to see how these local heroes and celebrities made patients feel extra special.
