STONY BROOK, N.Y., December 10, 2013 – In the true holiday spirit, readers, employees and editors of Full Throttle Magazine gathered hundreds of toys and gifts that were then donated to Stony Brook Children’s Hospital on Sunday, December 8.
Roaring down Nicolls Road in the cold weather, over 50 Long Island motorcycle riders led by WBAB’s ‘Fingers’ and escorted by numerous local fire department engines embarked on a 15-mile mission Sunday morning to deliver hundreds of toys to the young patients who anxiously awaited their arrival.
Lee and Greg Sheridan, owners of Full Throttle Magazine, have organized this event for the past four years in efforts to make the children’s stay in the hospital a little easier. Gifts and toys were collected during the publications Winter Wonderland event on December 4, which was hosted at 89 North in Patchogue. This year they were joined by the Sons of Italia Motorcycle Club and several local Fire Departments.
