Pay Attention! Science on Tap Returns

SBU’s Center for Communicating Science aims to demystify science in an informal setting

STONY BROOK, NY, October 25, 2012Science on Tap, a live event and web show created by the Stony Brook University School of Journalism’s Center for Communicating Science, returns to The Bench in Stony Brook on November 7 at 6:30 pm with featured topic, “Pay Attention! ADHD and the Brain.”
 
Science on Tap host Steven Reiner, a Broadcast Journalism professor at Stony Brook,  will be joined by guest scientist, Mary Kritzer, a full professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Behavior, an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Psychology and a research scientist and member of the board of directors at the Matt and Debra Cody Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders.
 
Science on Tap aims to bring a range of topics to the public in a casual, monthly forum, complete with food, beer, music and engaging conversation. As part of the program package, The Bench offers a nice dinner buffet with soft drinks for $13.75 ($9.95 for kids 15 and under) and $4 beer specials.
