SBDC staff
The Stony Brook SBDC counsels businesses from the manufacturing, service, and retail sectors through all phases of growth, and in securing financial assistance. It blends outside resource partners with the technical expertise of eight NYS Certified Business Advisors to assist in business plans, cost analysis, financing and technical issues. These services are provided through direct one-on-one confidential counseling, provided as many times are necessary for the growth of a business. All visits are FREE of charge.

Since its inception in 1989, the Stony Brook SBDC has assisted 19,000 clients and the financing impact to Long Island has exceeded $307.9 million. During this time, over 5,400 jobs have been created and 1,720 existing jobs have been saved.
