Katie Stockhammer Joins Stony Brook University As Director Of Development For The Arts

STONY BROOK, NY, July 28, 2011 – Katie Stockhammer has been appointed Director of Development for the Arts at Stony Brook University, announced Dexter Bailey, Vice President for Advancement.
Stockhammer brings to Stony Brook over five years of fundraising experience from the Long Island Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), where she started as Campaign Coordinator and rose to a senior leadership Campaign Director position. At LLS Katie was responsible for strategic growth planning, budgeting, executive committees, revenue generation and relationship development. She successfully managed annual budgets of $2.5 million, and oversaw various campaigns and programs with a volunteer base of 8,000 people and her staff of five.
As Director of Development for the Arts, Stockhammer’s primary role will be to build long-term relationships with alumni, donors, and fellow Stony Brook colleagues to secure private support for the Staller Center of the Arts, departments of Art, Music, Theater Arts, and faculty performers, including members of the Emerson String Quartet.
Stockhammer received her BA in Studio Art, Mathematics and Computer Science from Swarthmore College. She currently resides in Ronkonkoma.
