Long Island Motorcycle Enthusiasts Play Santa, Bring Toys to Kids at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital
Stony Brook, NY, December 8, 2014 – Yesterday, toys and gift cards that were collected during the Full Throttle Magazine Winter Wonderland event on December 3rd were donated to patients at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital during the publication’s 5th annual Toy Run. Hundreds of Long Island motorcycle riders and fire engines from the Centereach Fire Department roared down Nicolls Road to come spread holiday cheer to the children and their families, many who will be spending the holiday season in the hospital. This year ‘Santa’ was hoisted up via Hook & Ladder to see some of the children that were not well enough to meet Jolly ol’ St. Nick in person. The magazine also raised over $5,000 in addition to the toys, which will support for the new home of Stony Brook Children’s.
