Zuccaire Gallery Features Two Student Art Exhibits

The Senior Show and URECA Art Exhibition will be on display in May.

Staller Center for the Arts at Stony Brook University has two student exhibitions on display at the Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery — the undergraduate Senior Show and the URECA Student Art Exhibition will be on view concurrently beginning May 2.

Stony Brook University presents its annual exhibition of works by senior art majors and minors. The juried Senior Show 2019 includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics, prints, photographs, digital and video pieces, mixed-media installations and works on paper. Faculty members from Stony Brook’s Department of Art select from among the best work of this year’s graduating class. Senior Show 2019 is on view from May 2 through May 24.

Also opening May 2 is the URECA Art Exhibition, featuring nearly 30 student artists in a group show that features distinct expressive voices using a variety of media. Sponsored by Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URECA) and featured as a part of the Shirley Strum Kenny Student Arts Festival, this exhibition has juried awards and distinctions presented at a reception by the Office of the Dean of Students and the Director of Gallery North. A reception for the Senior Show URECA Art Exhibition is scheduled for Thursday, May 2, from 4 pm to 5:30 pm.
