Exciting multimedia initiatives from Stony Brook University offer powerful new ways of linking our thought leaders and faculty experts to regional, national and international news media.
The Office of Communications and Marketing has created the Experts website, a multi-media, interactive guide to Stony Brook’s thought leaders. Through the site, both professional journalists and campus content developers will have instant access to resources needed to identify and connect with Stony Brook’s intellectual capital. Our experts stand ready to provide informed insight, analysis and commentary across a variety of platforms including print, digital, broadcast and radio. Additional experts are being added to the site on an ongoing basis.
At the same time, the University has launched ITK Studios as a new way of connecting with broadcast media. A fully-equipped on-campus broadcast studio provides remote access to television networks around the globe, offering Stony Brook faculty and others a new channel for sharing their expertise and commentary with the world — without ever leaving campus.
ITK Studios will also assist the Office of Communications and Marketing in the creation of original content, efficiently producing single-camera videos and clips that will highlight University news and accomplishments, both for internal and external audiences.
