Ten Students Receive Fulbright Scholarships, Setting Stony Brook Record

As an English Teaching Assistant in Taiwan, Jean-Philippe plans to engage with the community beyond the classroom by learning more about Taiwanese culture through immersion (i.e. attending local events whenever possible) as well as illustrating how he, as a young Black man, can continue bringing positivity. Meanwhile he will seek to open the doors for more individuals who also identify as Black abroad and help his Taiwanese counterparts to understand more about Haitian-American culture.
