Stony Brook University students, faculty and staff can now utilize the new Wolfie Wallet debit card program from the Faculty Student Association (FSA) to shop on campus at dining and retail locations, make food purchases from off-campus merchants, wash and dry laundry, make purchases from vending machines and more.
Wolfie Wallet, a new declining-balance debit account that is linked to the Stony Brook ID card, is accepted at many more locations than the now discontinued Campus Cash and Faculty Staff Debit Plan programs.
“The Wolfie Wallet program has made it easier than ever for students, faculty and staff to manage their funds while utilizing a variety of different retail and dining locations,” said Angela Agnello, director of FSA marketing and communications.
“Over the summer, we added six new off-campus merchants,” said Agnello, referring to the addition of Quiznos Subs, Wildberry Frozen Yogurt, Cool Monkey (frozen yogurt and ice cream), Star Wash Lube, CVS Pharmacy and Top Stop Halal Chinese Food. “We are in the process of adding even more merchants to expand the program.”
Students can also take advantage of discounts when using their Wolfie Wallet funds to wash and dry their laundry at any of the 70 on-campus laundry locations. Wolfie Wallet funds are accepted at all Campus Dining Services locations, Jasmine in the Charles B. Wang Center, the University Bookstore, Seawolves MarketPlace and at several vending machines on west campus. It can also be utilized to send packages from the residential mailroom and purchase tickets through the Undergraduate Student Government ticket office.
To add funds or check your current balance, visit any of the cash-to-account machines located on campus or go to www.stonybrook.edu/wolfiewallet. Funds can also be added in person at the FSA Services Office, Suite 250 of the Stony Brook Union.
