The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Stony Brook University (OLLI at SBU) encourages people ages 50 and above, who are retired or semi-retired, to continue their love of learning, meet new friends, and enjoy social and educational opportunities. OLLI is dedicated to providing a lively and intellectually challenging array of non-credit courses led year-round in a university setting by OLLI members. The program, which will operate virtually for the Fall 2021 semester, offers social and cultural enrichment through thought-provoking workshops each semester and a variety of exciting lectures, events, day-trips and social events.
A program in Stony Brook’s School of Professional Development, OLLI at SBU is one of 124 Osher Institutes nationwide, all made possible by generous grants and endowments from the Bernard Osher Foundation.
OLLI at SBU fosters the mutual sharing of ideas, life experiences and the love of learning. There are no tests, no grades and no prerequisites to join — learning never retires with OLLI at SBU.
