Men’s Hoops Ranked in Mid-Majors Top 25 for the First Time

As the win streak keeps growing, so does the national spotlight.

For the first time this season, the Stony Brook men’s basketball program cracked the CollegeInsider Mid-Major Top 25, currently sitting 23rd.

The Seawolves cracked into the rankings after wins over defending America East champions Vermont and a home rout of New Hampshire, jumping over the Catamounts who are 25th in this week’s rankings.

Another local foe, Hofstra, also entered the Top 25 this week and are one spot below their Suffolk rivals at 24.

Stony Brook hits the road once again on Wednesday night, making the quick trip across the Long Island Sound to take on Hartford, who is unbeaten in America East play. Tip is scheduled for 7 pm.
