Stony Brook Children’s Hospital now offers web-based resources and activities for parents and children seeking to understand and weather the coronavirus pandemic.
The website includes an activity booklet aimed at kids between the ages of four and eight, guidance for parents on explaining COVID-19 to children, advice on social distancing and resources for the whole family.
“As a children’s hospital we know that caring for young kids during this time is very challenging,” the website states. “You want your kid to understand the importance of taking all necessary step to stay safe — but you don’t want to create fear and anxiety.”
