Wolfstock to Rock Campus with Homecoming Fun and Football, Oct. 11-14

It’s officially Wolfstock week at Stony Brook University!

Join your friends, family and alumni for our annual Homecoming celebration featuring fun events on and off campus. It all starts Wednesday, October 11 leading up to the big football game on Saturday night, October 14, when the Seawolves take on the New Hampshire Wildcats.

Wolfstock VillageWolfstock Village

Wolfstock Village is our official family-friendly pregame party, and this year, entrance is FREE!

Bring your friends and family and get ready to root for the Seawolves with live music by Radio Riot, a special performance by the Stony Brook Marching Band, kids’ rides and games, a rock wall, balloon artists sponsored by Liberty Mutual, and a photo booth hosted by Island Federal Credit Union.

Food and drinks can be purchased a la carte, but if you register online now, you can access discounted food vouchers and football game tickets! Click here to register — online packages are available until October 12.

Wolfstock Village opens at 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 14 and festivities continue until kickoff at 6 pm Find all the fun on the Athletic Fields outside LaValle Stadium, North of Gate 6. Don’t forget to share your experience on social media with #Wolfstock!

Seawolves Football

Football: Seawolves vs. New Hampshire Wildcats

The Seawolves carry a 4-2 record in the Colonial Athletic Association and are ready to take on the New Hampshire Wildcats at 6 pm on Saturday, October 14. Coming off a tough loss to Delaware on October 7, the Seawolves are hungry for a homecoming win.

Seawolves fans are also invited to the Stony Brook Athletics Rita and Kurt Eppenstein Hall of Fame Class of 2017 Induction Ceremony on Friday, October 13 at 5:30 pm. Five Stony Brook athletes who created a lasting legacy will join the ranks. Click here to learn more.

Start your Wolfstock week at Homecoming Hoopla & Carnival this Wednesday, October 11 at noon outside the SAC and along the Academic Mall. Enjoy free carnival games and entertainment, learn about student clubs and organizations, and meet with vendors, academic departments and student services. Then on Thursday, October 12 at 7:30 pm, watch your Homecoming Court contestants take the stage in a talent show we’ve dubbed Creative Explosion. This is your chance to vote for the winners! Get ready for some fierce competition — check out last year’s Homecoming Court Creative Explosion.

Finish the week off with a Friday night event many call the best student event of the year — Seawolves Showcase. Join the crowd on the Staller Steps at 7:30 pm and enjoy performances by Stony Brook’s most talented students and groups. It’s a great way to boost your Seawolves spirit before game day! Watch highlights from last year’s incredible event that attracted more than 3,000 students.

With nearly 20 events for alumni to enjoy, there’s something for everyone. Highlights include the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences 50th Anniversary & Environmental Media Conference, the Recent Grad Homecoming Happy Hour at The Bench Bar & Grill, the 60 Year Library Showcase, and a special faculty lecture by Carl Safina titled “The Ocean and You.”
