Five Stony Brook Students Win Prestigious NSF-GRFP Fellowships

Ceesay’s overarching objective is to conduct research that explores questions that unveil the discrimination practices employed by institutions that undermine the health and wellbeing of marginalized groups. She endeavors to examine topics within the criminal justice system as it pertains to racial and health disparities, and digital media as it relates to violent content, as it may also exacerbate racial and health inequalities.

Ceesay has also been the recipient of a W. Burghardt Turner Fellowship and a Turner Summer Research Grant from Stony Brook’s Center for Inclusive Education.
