New York Times Covers Stony Brook’s Alan Alda

A New York Times reporter recently followed Alan Alda, famed actor and founder of Stony Brook’s Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science, as he introduced scientists to improv exercises.

“The idea of teaching improv to scientists came from Mr. Alda, now a visiting professor,” the Times article explained. “The objective is not to make them funny, but to help them talk about science to people who are not scientists.”
