Kashif Piracha Selected Top Physician by Consumers’ Research Council

Kashif J Piracha, MBBS FACP, a second-year fellow in the Department of Nephrology at Stony Brook University Hospital, has been selected as one of America’s Top Physicians 2013 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.

Consumers’ Research Council of America, a Washington, DC, based research organization, provides consumers’ information guides for professional services throughout America. It is their purpose to help educate and assist consumers in obtaining the finest professional services. Their guides are easy to read and contain a wealth of information and tips for the consumer.

The criteria used in the evaluations of America’s top physicians include education and continuing education, number of years practicing in the medical profession, board certifications and affiliations with professional medical associations.

Dr. Piracha is certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. A graduate of King Edward Medical College in Pakistan, he earned his medical degree in 2000 and completed his internal medicine residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, in 2006. He then worked as a clinical hospitalist in Fort Worth, Texas, for six years from 2006 to 2012. He is now pursuing subspecialty training in nephrology at Stony Brook University Hospital.
