The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) was selected to receive the Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Excellence in Teaching Award. Professors John Kincaid, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Joseph Mitchell, Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, were this year’s recipients. The awards were presented by Mikysha Tolbert, University Relations Representative for Aerospace Systems, along with CEAS Associate Dean Imin Kao at the fall 2010 Corporate Networking Mixer on October 8.

In addition to the Teaching Awards, Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems also presented the CEAS with a check in the amount of $13,000.  The financial award will benefit several professional and minority-based student organizations, promoting opportunities for academic and professional growth.

The CEAS is extremely grateful for the support provided by Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems and looks forward to continuing the relationship.
