‘Female Perspectives on Entrepreneurship and Research’ Colloquium, Jan. 25

Stony Brook Research Intellectual Property Partners is hosting a virtual colloquium on Tuesday, January 25, that highlights Female Perspectives on Entrepreneurship and Research. Discover how diverse perspectives inspire creativity, drive innovation and encourage inclusive economic growth.

The event will be held from 4:30 pm to 6 pm and is free and open to public. Registration is required; a Zoom link will be provided prior to the event. For any questions, please contact Olga Kaufman: olga.kaufman@stonybrook.edu.

This long-awaited, much-anticipated event welcomes six highly influential female researchers, entrepreneurs and advocates who will share their experiences on how diverse perspectives can inspire creativity, drive innovation and encourage inclusive economic growth. Stony Brook University President Maurie McInnis will present opening remarks.

The event will be moderated by Clovia Hamilton, assistant professor of Technology and Society, SUNY Korea. Other speakers include Elizabeth Dougherty, eastern regional outreach director, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; Amanda Elam, CEO/co-founder, Galaxy Diagnostics, Inc. and research fellow; Pamela J. Kalbfleisch, Charles R. “Chuck” Johnson endowed professor of communication, University of North Dakota; Siri Terjesen, associate dean, research and external relations, Phil Smith professor of entrepreneurship, Florida Atlantic University and professor, Norwegian School of Economics; Jennifer L. Woolley, associate professor, management and entrepreneurship, Santa Clara University.
