Podcast Features Nurses on the Frontlines of COVID-19 Crisis


In a Facebook presentation of Stony Brook’s “Beyond the Expected” podcast this Wednesday, Interim President Michael Bernstein will discuss the nursing response to the COVID-19 crisis with frontline healthcare workers at Stony Brook Medicine.

The podcast will be aired on the University’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages on Wednesday, April 29, at 8 pm ET.


This episode’s guests include:

  • Cindyann Beck, BS, RN, Nursing Policy Coordinator, Department of Regulatory Affairs
  • Lesley Pronesti, RN, T&R (Teaching & Resource) Center Nurse III, Surgical Oncology
  • Alison L. Rowe, MS, RN, NEA-BC, CEN, Associate Director of Nursing, Department of Emergency and Cardiac Services

The nurses will share their experiences, their stories, and what it has meant to be on the frontline of the surge both professionally and personally.
