Sharing the Caring for the Holidays

Giving Back

Stony Brook University has a long history of being a caring community. The students, faculty, staff and employees from all points of SBU are proudly engaged and committed  to outreach programs, volunteering opportunities and community service projects.

Giving Back

In 2014, the Office of Community Relations launched a blog for the holidays, 31 Days of Giving Back,  highlighting some of the ways Stony Brook gives back to the community.  For December, 2019, a new feature will be posted every day in celebration of all the acts of kindness and work done for the good of others. From music programs to blood drives to community clean ups, the thousands of hours donated by Stony Brook each year is making a difference in our neighborhoods and communities on Long Island.
