Don’t Miss Open Enrollment for Healthcare Coverage

Affordable care act

Affordable Care ActNow it’s easier than ever to shop and compare heath insurance plans through the Affordable Care Act. December 15, 2016, is the deadline to sign up for coverage if you want to be insured at the start of 2017. Call 1-800-318-2596 for confidential assistance or visit HealthCare.gov.

Financial help is available to make coverage more affordable. Most consumers will be able to find a plan for less than $75 per month thanks to financial assistance. Tax credits increase along with premiums, so the law will protect the large majority of consumers from rate increases, as it was designed to do.

Signing up is easy. Customers will immediately see the type of coverage they qualify for and how much financial help they can get. Comparing plans will be an intuitive, step-by-step process. You can filter plans by total costs and see if they cover certain doctors and prescriptions, making it easy to find coverage that works for you and your family.

Free, confidential help can be found in person or by phone.

You should visit HealthCare.gov to check out your options — whether or not you get tax credits and whether or not you’ve shopped there in the past. Some people will be surprised to find out that they’re newly eligible for assistance, even if they haven’t been in years past.

Sign up nowJanuary 31, 2017, is the last day for open enrollment.
