Huddle up. A full day of free football events involving the Stony Brook football team will take place on Saturday, August 13, at the John J. Burns Park in Massapequa. The Family Football Day is being held in conjunction with the Town of Oyster Bay, Town Supervisor John Venditto, and the Suffolk and Nassau Police Athletic Leagues.
The Seawolves will conduct a free Stony Brook/PAL youth football clinic from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, followed by a barbecue for all clinic participants and their families. During the youth clinic, a live DJ will play today’s popular music for the crowd.
The Stony Brook University Football team is also inviting everyone to attend a free Red vs. White Scrimmage at 5:00 pm. During the game, Stony University head coach Chuck Priore will be mic’ed so that fans can hear what goes on in the Seawolves football huddle. Following the scrimmage the Seawolves will hold an autograph session for all attendees.
In addition, Stony Brook merchandise will be available for purchase and Seawolves football home game tickets will be on sale. Stony Brook football schedule posters and cards are available for free to the public.
