Stony Brook University’s Athletics Department will once again be hosting a National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Saturday, February 26. NGWSD is a day to honor the accomplishments of female athletes and to highlight the benefits of staying active. To help promote an active and healthy lifestyle, Stony Brook will be holding a Youth Sports Clinic, with registration beginning at 10:30 am and culminating with a women’s basketball game against Binghamton at 2:00 pm.
Girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 13 are invited to participate in the Sports Clinic, which will be held in the Indoor Sports Complex and will feature current Stony Brook student-athletes from many different sports leading the clinic.
Sneakers and play clothes are required and there is a $5 admission fee, which includes the clinic, a t-shirt, a ticket to the women’s basketball game, and a goodie bag for each clinic participant. Pre-registration is mandatory and space will be limited so be sure to register early to reserve your spot.
