With the win, the Seawolves (20-0, 7-0 AE) advance to the quarterfinal of the NCAA Tournament – which will take place next weekend at Boston College.

“We live to fight another week,” head coach Joe Spallina said. “Defense is the staple of our program and it always has been. For us, it was about getting back to being the best version of our Stony Brook defense, and I thought we did that today. We’re excited to move on.”

Stony Brook remains the only unbeaten team in Division I lacrosse with a 20-0 record.

With the win, the Seawolves advance to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Stony Brook will travel to Boston College  next weekend, squaring off with the fourth-seeded Eagles.
