University Orchestra Children’s Concert March 8

University Orchestra_Nov2010The annual Children’s Concert, Musical Puzzles and Games, will be presented by the University Orchestra with conductor Susan Deaver on Tuesday, March 8, at 7:30 pm at Staller Center. This program features 14-year-old violinist Maia Kelly, winner of the 2010 Pre-College Division Concerto Competition, and 14-year-old composer/percussionist Victor LaBozzetta III, who will perform as soloist in his original Concerto for Ethnic Percussion and Orchestra. Audience members will help to solve musical puzzles and play games with the University Orchestra in this one-hour interactive concert.

General admission is $10; seniors, students, and children under 18 are $5, on sale at the Staller Center Box Office. For more information, visit Department of Music or call (631) 632-7330.
