Work by eight graduate students of fine arts will be exhibited in the University Art Gallery in the Staller Center from Tuesday, February 7, through Wednesday, February 29. A reception honoring the artists will be held on Saturday, February 11, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

MFA Thesis Exhibition 2012 includes paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, and mixed media and electronic media installations by Kathryn Cellerini, Dan Hess, Auj Khan, Jamie Macaulay, Alisha McCurdy, Jose Antonio Ojeda, Kristina Stoyanova, and Pancho Westendarp. All eight artists are degree candidates in the Department of Art’s Master of Fine Arts program. The exhibit is accompanied by an eight-page catalogue that includes reproductions of each artist’s work.

The University Art Gallery’s 2011-2012 exhibition schedule is made possible by a generous grant from the Paul W. Zuccaire Foundation. Additional support for the MFA exhibit has been provided by the Friends of Staller Center.

University Art Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Saturday, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The gallery will be open one hour before and during the intermission of the following Staller Center performances: Emerson String Quartet on February 8; Stand Up 8 on February 12; The Blues Brothers on February 26; and Starry Nights at Staller Center on February 28.

Admission is free. For more information, please call the University Art Gallery at (631) 632-7240.
