Three Student Exhibits Coming to Zuccaire Gallery

The Paul W. Zuccaire Gallery in Staller Center will present three separate student exhibitions during the course of March and April. The graduate student exhibition, Time: MFA Thesis Exhibition 2018, will be on view from March 18 through April 14. The undergraduate Senior Show and the URECA Art Exhibition will be on view concurrently beginning April 26.

The exhibitions and all events are free and open to the public.

Time: MFA Thesis Exhibition 2018, March 18 – April 14
Time features new work by Stony Brook University’s graduating Master of Fine Arts students. It includes drawing, painting, paper cuts and video installations by Jasna Boudard, Razieh Jafari, Karine Falleni and Justin Roxo. A free reception honoring the artists will be held on Saturday, March 24, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Zuccaire Gallery.

Senior Show 2018, April 26 – May 17
The juried Senior Show 2018 features works by senior art majors and minors and includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics, prints, photographs, digital and video pieces, mixed-media installations and works on paper. Faculty members from the Department of Art select from among the best work of this year’s graduating class.

URECA Art Exhibition, Opening April 26
The URECA Art Exhibition features nearly 30 student artists in a group show of distinct expressive voices using a variety of media. Sponsored by Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (URECA) and featured as part of the Shirley Strum Kenny Student Arts Festival, this exhibition has juried awards and distinctions presented at the reception by the Office of the Dean of Students and the Director of Gallery North.

A reception for the Senior Show and URECA Art Exhibition will be Thursday, April 26, from 4 pm to 6 pm.
