Three Generations of Jazz Pianists Unite on Stage

Piano jazz summit art 1

Piano Jazz Summit artStaller Center welcomes three solo performers in a “jazz summit” with keyboard marvels Cedar Walton, Jacky Terrasson, and Hiromi on Saturday, March 26, at 8:00 pm in the Recital Hall. Each player will take a turn offering selections from personal storehouses of distinctive music.

Terrasson, winner of the distinctive Thelonious Monk International Jazz Piano Competition and two-time Grammy nominee, has been celebrated here and in his native France.

Keyboardist-composer Hiromi Uehara has electrified audiences and critics on both hemispheres. She has performed and recorded with pianist and mentor, Chick Corea, as well as with the Stanley Clarke Trio, and has released her first solo album, Place to Be, which chronicles her worldwide travels.

Enjoy this unique evening of solo piano times three. The concert is sponsored by Renaissance Technologies LLC.

Tickets are $38. Order online at stallercenter.com or call the Staller Center Box Office at (631) 632-ARTS.
