Co-organized by Pollock Krasner House and Study Center Director Helen A. Harrison and art historian Bobbi Coller, this exhibition features works that reflect Pollock’s powerful impact and attest to his continued presence as a reference for contemporary artists. “The Persistence of Pollock” features works in various media by 13 artists who have responded to Pollock in the decades since his death. The artists include Janine Antoni, Robert Arneson, Lynda Benglis, Mike Bidlo, Arnold Chang, François Fiedler, Joe Fig, Red Grooms, Ray Johnson, Vik Muniz, Alfonso Ossorio, Norman Rockwell and Lee Ufan.
The exhibit is on display through July 28 and is included with the price of museum admission. A reception and gallery talk will be held on Sunday, July 8, from 5 pm to 7 pm.
