Importance of Being EarnestA screening of Broadway’s The Importance of Being Earnest in High Definition will be shown at Staller Center on Thursday, June 2, at 8:00 pm.

”We are delighted to announce this one-time special showing of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, now playing in New York City. Patrons can see a high-definition screening as it was staged at the American Airlines Theatre by the Roundabout Theatre Company’s award-winning cast,” said Staller Center Director Alan Inkles. “Tony-award winning Brian Bedford directs and stars as Lady Bracknell, and critics have raved about the performance. This classic play is great fun.”

The Importance of Being Earnest is a comedic masterpiece about class, courtship, and good old-fashioned name dropping, first performed in 1895. The screening is produced by the Roundabout Theatre Company, L.A. Theatre Works, and BY Experience.
