Stony Brook Wind Ensemble Concert November 13

Stony Brook Wind Ensemble will present “Keys to Winds” on Wednesday, November 13, at 8 pm on Staller Center’s Main Stage. The performance includes the music of Anderson, Bach, Ellington, Gershwin, Mussorgsky and Schumann.

The Wind Ensemble, conducted by Bruce Engel, is an 85-piece group of undergraduate, graduate and alumni musicians that performs two concerts annually.  The group features Amr Selim on horn, who is head of the Wind Ensemble teaching assistants, and Zach Silberschlag on trumpet and Stuart Jackson on percussion, both are teaching assistants.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the Staller Center Box Office or call (631) 632-ARTS.

All Stony Brook University students and community musicians are welcome to audition for the Wind Ensemble at the beginning of each semester. For more information, please call the Department of Music at (631) 632-7330.
