Stony Brook Opera to Present ‘The Shepherd King’ April 27-28

Stony Brook Opera will perform the classic tale of the struggle between the demands of love and kingship in Mozart’s ‘The Shepherd King’ on Saturday, April 27, at 8 pm and Sunday, April 28, at 3 pm at Staller Center.

OperaThe fully staged production, sung in Italian with projected titles in English, features the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra conducted by Daniel Beckwith and directed for the stage by Brenda Harris. A free pre-opera lecture will be held an hour before each performance.
