September 21: Screening of “I Am” at Wang Center

Iam megha 1

IAM_MEGHAI Am (Onir/2010/95minutes/English and Hindi with subtitles) is a groundbreaking film about four individuals, Afia, Megha, Omar, and Abhimanyu, who are struggling to regain their lives in the midst of the issues that bruise modern Indian society. Critically acclaimed director Onir brings his empathy for victims of social injustice, sensitivity as a director, and experience in producing independent feature films to these four stories to create a new kind of Bollywood cinema. The 7:00 pm screening is preceded by a VIP meeting with director Onir, and actors Juhi Chawla, Rahul Bose, and Sanjay Suri at 5:00 pm.

The screening will be held in the Charles B. Wang Center Theatre on Tuesday, September 21.

Tickets: $35 VIP artists meet and greet; $20 general admission; $15 seniors; $10 students. Reservations are required; to reserve your tickets, please e-mail wangcenter@stonybrook.edu.
