The 15th Annual Stony Brook Film Festival is seeking outstanding independent dramatic features, documentaries, animated films, and shorts in all categories from around the world. The festival will be held July 22 through July 31. All films are shown on the oversized screen in Staller Center’s Main Stage Theatre. The ten-day festival showcases one film at a time to houses of 850 to 1,000 filmgoers. Thanks to the presenting sponsors, there are no entry fees for the Stony Brook Film Festival.
Stony Brook Film Festival Director Alan Inkles looks forward to another successful festival. “Last year we were praised for the diversity of the Stony Brook Film Festival. It was an amazing year for us both artistically and in terms of attendance. We had the largest crowds in our 14-year history and the audience voting gave some of the highest scores we have ever seen.”
The Stony Brook Film Festival has a reputation for being one of the best on the circuit. Formats accepted for projection at the festival are 35 mm and beta formats.
