Stage, film and television actor Nathan Lane was among the cast representing the Stony Brook Film Festival’s World Premiere of the drama No Pay, Nudity in support of his long-time friend and the film’s director, Lee Wilkof.

On stage at the Q&A following the screening were actors Loudon Wainwright III, also a Grammy-winning musician; Nathan Lane; Zoe Perry, daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry; and Lee Wilkof. No Pay, Nudity is his directorial debut. Wilkof was the original Seymour in Broadway’s Little Shop of Horrors and has had a successful career in movies and on stage. Nathan Lane announced his future plans – he will be on Broadway in a revival of Holiday Inn.

The Stony Brook Film Festival had a sold out house of 950 film lovers for No Pay, Nudity, a drama about a middle-aged actor finding his way back in his career. Gabriel Byrne played the main character, but was unavailable for the screening as he is on break in Ireland following his run on Broadway’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night.

The Stony Brook Film Festival runs through July 30. For more information, go to stonybrookfilmfestival.com or call the Staller Center box office at (631) 632-ARTS.
